Hailing from around the world, our instructors are continuously-trained, actively-competing, award-winning professionals. Many of our teachers have degrees in the fine arts and all have passed rigorous exams given by the Imperial Society of the Teachers of Dance and the Fred Astaire Curriculum Certification.

 

 

Patrick Stuckwish

Patrick Stuckwish

Director
Patrick served in the United Stated Marine Corps and he has transferred that dedication and discipline into his ballroom career.  He has always found joy in mastering what ever he sets his mind to so that he might have the opportunity to help others achieve the same.  Patrick has been teaching ballroom since 2007.  He has been a consistent finalist regionally in both smooth and rhythm as well as a theater arts champion. He has spent his teaching career as one of the top instructors both in Texas and Nationally.  
 
 
Amanda

Amanda Joy Bradford

Manager and Dance Director
Amanda is the current Manager and Dance Director of Fred Astaire River Oaks Dance Studio. She has been trained and certified in many genres of dance including American Style and International Ballroom Dancing as well as Country Western, Latin, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip- Hop, Modern, and Ballet. Amanda has danced professionally all over the world from dancing for the Queen of England as a UDA All Star in London, to Placing as a Rhythm Finalist at the Fred Astaire World Championships in Puerto Rico. She started dancing as a young child in studios, was Captain of her Dance Team in High School, as well as an officer and Choreographer for Texas A&M University’s Dance Art Society. Amanda has also been a volunteer and Judge for the Brownsville School Program that Fred Astaire has been involved with. She Loves Dancing and how it changes people’s lives. The reason she enjoys teaching is to enrich an individual’s life through the many benefits that dance has to offer.

Professional Dance Instructor
Brittany has been dancing with Fred Astaire Dance Studios for the last seven years. She has competed both nationally and regionally.  She loves to teach because of the joy she gets from helping others learn how to dance. 
 
 
Leon

Leon Flores

Professional Dance Instructor
Leon Flores is a United States Marine veteran. He began dancing as a student in 2012. Before the year was over he would make the transition over to professional dancing. Leon has placed as a finalist in all competitions he has done and participated in numerous shows through Fred Astaire. The greatest achievement he's received as an instructor is watching his students grow into phenomenal dancers under his tutelage.
 
 
Kris

Kristofer Schröder

Professional Instructor
Kristofer discovered his love for ballroom dance through professional competition and showcases with Fred Astaire Dance Studios. Kristofer is certified in all styles of American Ballroom Dancing and specializes in Houston’s most popular social genres such as Latin dances and Country Western dancing. He is also an expert in preparing wedding couples for their first dance and reception party. Kristofer dances professionally both regionally and nationally, was a finalist at the Fred Astaire World Championship in Las Vegas, and has danced exhibitions and showcases in venues such as the Hobby Center and Stafford Center. He is US Navy nuclear submarine veteran with a background in engineering, finance, and maritime logistics. Currently he is studying Kinesiology/Sports Medicine and Philosophy at Rice University. Kristofer enjoys employing his diverse experiences and knowledge in his teaching methods and applies these conceptual methods of instruction to create a truly customized experience.
